Overview

MECC PHAYSE self-developed HPJK-L compensation monitoring and protection device is equipped with ARM processor and a LCD screen. To better suit our customer's need, we have developed a number of models for HPJK-L

HPJK-L can provide comprehensive protection for every kind of compensation devices.

Device function

Displaying and Monitoring

HPJK-L can provide over-current, zero-sequence-voltage and Current-limiting fuses' contacts and NCS contacts protection for each branch. It can also provide temperature detection with advanced 1-wire protocol temperature detector on the surface of Capacitor, which send back digital signal and save the need of A/D transformation, raising the accuracy and enabling unlimited expansion.

Protection of capacitor branches

HPJK-L can provide the following protection:

a, Sample each line current signal, and provide over-current protection, trip that branch of capacitor when fault; (Model 11, L)

b, Sample zero-sequence voltage signal, and provide zero-sequence overvoltage protection, trip that branch of capacitor when fault; (Model 11, 22, 21, L)

c, Read NCS (neutral current unbalance) contact and current-limiting fuse contacts, trip that branch of capacitor when fault; (Model 32, L)

d, Sample capacitor's surface temperature in real time, and issued over-temperature alarm. (All Models)

So HPJK-L with different model provides comprehensive protection for capacitor in different situation. It provides two groups of fault contact output; one of them is used to trip capacitor and the other to send alarm to the control room so as to locate the fault capacitor.

Alarming

It can recorded up to 80 faults in history, including its content, time occured, time disappeared, so to allow relocating the fault. And when fault occur the device will send light and sound alarm while locking the capacitor from swithcing on until the fault is cleared by operating option i"fault clear"n the device.

Communication

It provides RS485 communication port for communicating with control room, it can upload the fault status as well as all the eletrical parameters of the grid, thus achieving remote monitoring, the protocol is provided by us.

Model description

HPJK-L offers 5 models for different needs of users, which are: 11, 22, 21, 32 and L, with different sampling signal and slightly different menu.

Model 11 suits for high-voltage equipment adopting Single-Phase capacitor with single Y connection.

Model 11 takes in signals of zero-sequence voltage and two of three line currents from each branch.

It can protect 4 branches with over-zero-sequence-voltage (imbalance) and over-current (short-current) protection.

22

Model 22 suit for low-voltage equipment adopting three-Phase capacitor.

Model 22 takes in signals of two of three line currents from each branch.

It can protect 4 branches with over-current protection.

21

Model 21 suit for low-voltage LFPC adopting three-Phase capacitor.

Model 21 takes in signals of all three line currents from each branch.

It can protect 2 branches with more accurate over-current protection.

32

Model 32 suit for high-voltage equipment adopting three-phase capacitor equipped with NCS contact under 6kV. NCS contact will close when the capacitor reach a degree of imbalance in its neutral connection.

Model 32 takes in signals of NCS contact from each branch.

It can protect 4 branches with NCS contact protection.

L

Model L suit for HPLC when the capacitor is switched on and off with the high-voltage motor.

Model L takes in signals of zero-sequence voltage, all three line currents, NCS contact, and Current-Limiting Fuses contact from each branch.

It can protect 1 branch with zero-sequence over-voltage, over-current, NCS contact, and Current-Limiting Fuses contact protection.
